GNB Absolyte GP replaced the GNB Absolyte IIP product in 2008. GNB changed the positive grid alloy of the Absolyte VRLA product from lead-antimony-cadmium to lead-calcium-tin. To differentiate the updated product, the brand name was changed from Absolyte IIP to Absolyte GP and model numbers changed from ‘A’ to ‘G’ (e.g. 100A33 became 100G33, etc.).
